hmm.. if one ever gets depressed or lonely, what would they usually do?
Some turn to drugs, some turn to alcohol, others, like me, turn to shopping.
Retail Theraphy is quite nice in a sense that you get this thrill whenever you find something new, something unique, something wonderful.
But what happens when you get to buy what you want? The thrill is now gone, right?
Take me, for example, I just bought 4 new books, they are extremely cheap. I got them all for P300, and if I buy them all brand-new, it would probably cost me around P800 for them. See? nearly half the price off. Now that's cheap.
But I wonder, did I use my money wisely when I bought those books? Are they really worth it? I mean, considering the fact that I have TONS of other books that I haven't read yet.. Do you think that there is a chance that I could actually get to read the ones that I've bought?

Just a while ago, I felt like crying. And I did. Not because of shopping or the expenses that I have incurred, but because I felt frustrated. And anyway, I haven't exactly been that nice to someone right now.. And I felt extremely guilty for that. *sigh* this sucks.

Anyway, that was just a thought. I guess I am a shopaholic. I drown my sorrows and joys in shopping. nuff said.

The first step to recovery is admitting that one has a problem. I did, and I'm proud I did. ;)
Next step of recovery from the shopping addiciton. Must limit shopping itself ;)

i have to do this paper for theopro. pero somehow my brain is not up to the challenge.. masakit utak ko and tinatamad pa ako.. weird! hehehe :) oh well..

shux naman malapit na matapos tong term na to.. i hope na pumasa ako sa thesis.. hayy.. my mom can't afford it if magextend pa ako ng 1 term or even 1 summer. :( hindi nga rin nia alam kung san kukunin ung dough para paaral me for next term.. hayy..

anyway, i have to run.. i'll surf nalang muna for now.. or maybe i'll watch a DVD muna before i eat dinner..

well, literally every school subject sucks.
i can't wait to get out of univ & work na. thesis sucks na talaga, big time. i hate it. i hate working everyday for a stupid paper or program na malay ko ba kung gagamitin or something. hay. mas ok pa nung ojt eh. i only work for 8 hours and after nun, relax na. no need to study when you get home pa or something. argh. ngayon, school, tapos gawa, tapos pag uwi sa bahay, gawa ulit even if you're watching tv or something narin. hay. wala na talagang relaxation. buti pa si boo this term. finished na xa sa defense kaya medyo parelax-relax nalang.
dami pang babaguhin sa prototype. gosh, 2 weeks to go.
haven't started on the documentation yet. i need to finish this pa naman by today cos im gonna go out tomorrow. syempz pasaway ako. i'm gonna watch the game tomorrow, no BUTS. at least makakarelax.. kita ko pa c TY :) ayan, napasmile na ako. just thinking of ty is enough hehe

malas ngayon :( nacra ung id ko.. as in damaged, so i had to pay P533 pa for a replacement ID :(
now im sooo broke. sayang talaga cos balak ko pa naman bumili ng 2 fash wallet kanina..so un, napunta lng ung dough ko sa ID hayy.. malas malas.
speaking of malas, ung bus na nasakyan ko papunta school kanina, nasiraan.. buti nalang sa vito cruz nasiraan ung bus. so tumawid lng ako for the jeepney.
pero good thing is that wlang class sa monday :) ala lng. more time to rest & time din para gumawa ng thesis. oh well. bakit walang class sa monday? kc SONA daw ni GMA>. aun lng.

stupid inflation rate. ang hirap magkapera ngayon.. hayy.. i have to squeeze every penny of my allowance.. kung pwede lang maglakad everyday papunta school maglalakad talaga ako eh. :(

uuy! the plug for the CSI:5 season finale was up! aww man! ung cutie guy ung magiging buried alive.. wawa naman.. ayoko ng ganung scenario.. eck.. think about claustrophobia & helplessness in there.

Anyway, i couldn't sleep.. i was supposed to sleep around 1130pm kanina but then again, ang daming laman ng utak ko kaya hindi talaga ako makatulog :( first is hindi daw ako bibigyan ng allowance ng mom ko.. nyek, kainis un ah? how can i get to school + buy food or something if wala akong allowance? sabi nia kc ang dami ko daw biniling flipflops..eh ano ngayon? money ko rin naman un from my OJT eh. buti nga hindi xa nagbayad for my yearbook, ako narin.
I can't wait to start working.. argh. that way hindi na talaga ako dependent for money sa mom ko.

What elsE? ayun.. dapat gagawin ko ung site sa ntrepre.. kaso nga lang hindi ko alam kung saan hahanapin ung template na nakuha nia.. hm.. kung gawin ko kaya muna ung site ko sa HUCOINT.. hmm.. maybe in a while.. ;) medyo tinatamad & inaantok narin ako.. yehey! sa wakas! :)

ay grabe, ang nice ng mga stuff na binebenta ni Gold Finger sa GT... i can only dream about those designer bags & shoes.. sobrang mahal kc :( sana maka-abroad din ako para makabili rin ng extra stuff na pwede rin ibenta and stuff :) gawin ko rin kaya yn.. buy & sell ng mga designer bags.. kaso pano? hindi pa naman built ung contacts ko and stuff.. oh well, back to selling shirts ulet.. kaso kainis eh. hindi pa ako nakakakuha ulet ng bagong stock :( Anyway, my dream bag would have to be a LV bag.. ung hindi common.. kaso ang hirap dito sa Pinas, lahat kc fake halos.. so people wouldn't know that you have an orig LV sa dami ba naman ng imitations.. oh well.

The Travelers
Six friends traveling together in different destinations

The stories revolves around six college students, three boys and three girls, coming from different backgrounds, and have very different personalities. They bond together because of their course, travel and adventure, at a well-known college.

The first character is Kelly. She is your typical poor little rich girl. The only child in her family, she is living a life of pure luxury. Her father is a very successful and well-known businessman, while her mom is the chief financial officer in the company that she is working in. She loves to just relax by going to the spas, or by shopping. She never leaves the mall without actually buying something.

The next is Victoria. Gorgeous and sophisticated, she is also a part-time model. Her mother was also a model, while her dad was a well-known musician. She loves the nightlife, and you’ll always see her in the lifestyle and society pages of the newspaper or the magazines.

There’s also Shane and Kian. They’re fraternal twins. They were born and raised in London, but ever since their dad was relocated from the London office to Manila [their dad is actually an ex-pat], they had to adjust to the way of living here. They’re heartthrobs around school [who wouldn’t like them? They’re british and hot!], and they are both star players of the soccer [or as they call it in England, football]. Kelly’s boyfriend is actually Shane, while Victoria’s boyfriend is Kian. J

The last of the guys in the group is Lee. He loves computer gaming, and would spend a lot of time logged on in the internet. However, this person could be quite conceited and self-centered. He is sometimes known as the slacker of the group because he was so happy-go-lucky with his outlook in life.

Then there’s Monica. Unlike her friends, she is not as well-off. She works part-time as a barista for Starbucks and is a scholar in their school. She has one older brother who is currently a bum since he was not as lucky in finding a job after he graduated from college.

From their different personalities, relationships and bonds formed. The first place that they are going to travel in is Puerto Galera, a part of their first year tour. Different stories, but each intertwined together by their friendship and their love for travel and adventure. One would have to wonder what might happen next in their very complicated but fun story.

another HUCOINT-related post. If I were to post about other stuff that is happening on in my life, I'd probably be soo mad right now. Yuck, I hate epalboy so much. Wishes he would die.
Ironically, I'm using his computer right now. I hate epalboy but I like his computer. Can i just have this PC when he dies? I sure hope so.

Anyway, here's the shopping website review that I'm supposed to do. Since I totally love designer brands, I decided to review this site called eluxury. The URL is: www.eluxury.com
That site sells designer stuff such as Louis Vuitton, Paul Smith, Dior, Pucci and other designer brands online.

At the start of the page, one would see the different categories where you could shop in: there's the clothes [or ready-to-where], the shoes, bags & accessories department, beauty & fragrances, gift items, and even items for the man and kids in your life. One could also shop for gifts in this website. One part that I like the most about this site is the sale section. After all, a shop should never, ever leave off the sale section especially for bargain shoppers like me.

The product presentation is nice. You can click on the certain designer's catalog [though some designers don't exactly have catalogs] or search the styles directly. They also have this option where one could view the new styles or the collection available from the designers, and they have links from the homepage of the site with regards to the new collection of their designer products. As stated from the previous paragraph, the products are split up into different categories, allowing for easy navigation and searching throughout the site. It would also be easier if you are just browsing for a certain item to give as a gift.

The user interface is typical of the other shopping websites in the internet today. It features links on the left side of the screen where one could shop by brand or by category. However, there's a reason why this type of interface is common amongst the shopping websites. It is easy to navigate, and in this case, go from one designer's collection to the next with just a simple click, point and drag of a mouse. The color combination that they used is quite typical as well, and leaning towards the safe sides of the color palette. A lot of grays, whites, with subtle shades of blues, purples and oranges were used in the text for emphasis. Maybe the color scheme was a way of the site to emphasize the colors of the products. Minimal background color scheme, Maximum exposure of the photos of the products.

The feedback mechanism of the site is excellent. They have this online chatroom where you could ask your questions to other prospective buyers or from the CSRs. The site also posted their toll-free telephone number, where one could call if they are too lazy to go online or if they want to contact a customer service representative directly. In addition, the site also provides feedback forms, where one could comment about aspects like the shipping, site registration, payment, among others. They also have this Help section where one could find all the Frequently Asked Questions, Shopping Policies, Shipping & Returns, and other information regarding the website owners, and how the site was conceptualized.

random plots of my hypernarrative project

Hmm... no time to actually create my own plot in a microsoft word format so will use what is accessible to me right now.
Being the TV junkie that I am. Here are two of my own plots na :) they're based from the TV series na Lost and CSI :)

For the Lost hypernarrative that I'm going to create, it will depict the lives of the characters that were stranded in that weird island after their plane crashed around a thousand miles off course. Much like the TV series, it will chronicle and follow the lives of the main characters such as Boone, Sayid, Kate, Jack, Charlie and the rest, and how they deal with island living and also with their relationships to one another.

For the CSI hypernarrative, I decided to pattern it into a huge case that all the CSI members would have to work on. Since there are three CSI cities on the television today, maybe the characters from the three cities will be put together in one big case that is related to all of them. Each will chronicle how they will gather evidence from their case, and will eventually lead them to their killer. Of course, all the CSI personnel would have their own link in the hypernarrative.

That's just for starters :) Now I have to finish a heck of a lot of things as well, such as:
1) study for the network exam tomorrow
2) theopro one page project proposal and the seatwork that's by pairs
3) thesis.. eyuck. :( i'm still stuck in doing the existing DFD explosions

alright, here is the hypernarrative review for my HUCOINT class :) I decided to just post it here sa blog and then download it if ever I need to print it out in Microsoft Word or something. Oh gosh, I don't know if the review is supposed to be formal or not.. But heck, if it's in a blog, then I'll just post it informally for everyone's sake :)

Anyway, let me start from the start page. The page into 6 different sections and each section is highlighted by a color, each of which have links to some random rambling or story that the author has written.
What I hate about the start page is that it is constantly reloading! It is so annoying the way you hear the clicking sound from your browser whenever the page reloads. It is such a constant waste of internet time as well, and for what? Well, they just provide/change the color of the sections that I've written before. It's annoying!

Moving on to the content of the hypernarratives, since I'm not exactly sure where to start in this site since there are a lot of links, I decided to click on a random link and decide to start my review from there.
The first link that I've clicked was called ..."Open One and Drink It"... I suppose the theme of the stories in this hypernarrative is about food or drinks or something. Moving on, there were a lot of links that appeared after I clicked that site. So, due to the amount of links, here goes with another random link again.
I came across the "as if on the same server" link, and in it was a sort of poem or whatnots. I can't exactly make sense of what the author was trying to say. Either it's full of nonsense or just full of deep, hidden meanings that I can't actually decipher. Please let me know the meaning of what she's written if you can understand it?

Oh! I happened to chance upon a link that explains how the website was created! Apparently, the site was finished in 1999. The theme of this hypernarrative was to simulate a certain state of mind that the author was feeling either by being online in the internet for 10-12 hours per day, or "by a vulnerability to "flesh time"". This site was started in December 1995, and the whole site took 4 years to complete. As stated from her introduction, readers who kept coming back may find that some of the links that they might have come across to were changed, so they find some new paths or twists to the site itself. Talk about a big, crazy maze of literary works.
Apparently this site that I came across to was already a sequel to another hypernarrative site from the same author. The link to the prequel to this site is: http://www.eastgate.com/malloy/ if ever you do want to check it out. The title of that site is "Love One".

Overall, I'd have to say that Judy Malloy, The Roar of Destiny Emanated From the Refrigerator's hypernarrative is a work of deep literature wherein readers are forced to think about what the author was trying to say in her many works. However, some things to be improved upon the site would have to be the interface. It is quite boring as there are no pictures, and the site was mainly text-based. Quite advantageous for readers with a slow internet connection, if you ask me, but a little photo in the site to jazz up and catch a reader's attention would sure be helpful. It would also help if the entries in the site would be a little less deep, as sometimes, readers would just feel that what the author wrote was just plain nonsense.

its been a while since i last posted here in my blog! :) Nearly a month has passed without a single entry!

Went to festival mall a while ago with Mix... Oh my gosh.. Astrovision is on sale! I wanted to buy VCDs and DVDs a while ago cos they were all extremely cheap!! But good thing I don't have cash with me so that stopped me from buying.. :) Gotta stop/restrain myself from shopping nowadays cos my main financial goal right now is to actually repay myself for all the bank withdrawals that i did during the summer.. [ie, puerto, anilao, and other expenses that I have incurred]. Other than that, I could buy all I wanted :) i got this quote from Cha's post in our fave forum, GirlTalk --> "You only live once so we deserve the best"! And you know what? she's actually correct! :)

The GirlTalk forums are down right now. Eck, it must be broken again or something.. Nothing to do while online.. Oh well. Blog blog blog..

grabe, badtrip, ung friends season 4 dvd ko, sira ung 2 cd dun! badtrip talaga!! hindi ko naman na mabalik yung dvds na un sa store cos i bought that a long time ago pero now ko lang xa napanood : badtrip. i'm never gonna go back to that store ever again! now i have to go to astrovision and actually buy the original cds insteaD! hayy..
anyway, i went to megamall yesterday :) ala lng.. gimmick.. me and ryll and gay watched kingdom of heaven.. ganda xa, cutie cutie ni orlando bloom! haha :) he's sooo hot but hindi ko cya gaano feel dun sa role nia cos he looks dirty. eww.. haha :) anyway, grabe.. i bought 2 vcds din yesterday... OF MY FAVE BAND! haha. namiss ko kc sila super.. :) i want more pix of them.. kaso hayy.. nanghihinayang ako cos hindi pa nakaayos ung hundreds of pix nila with me right now. kaya nga status msg ko now is "mamatay na lahat ng epal and feeling sa mundo" cguro naman it'll be a better place if nawala na ung mga feelers or epal ppl dba?
ewan ko ba if its just the heat thats making my head boil or those people talaga... hayy... oh well.

anyway, on a more happy note.. i became a beachbum :) came back from anilao just last week and puerto galera 2 weeks ago :) happy. im darker now but im still happy, lolz :) sarap magbeach :)

wala lng.. cguro being a beachbum made me buy rubber flipflops even more.

Kainis.. 3 weeks nalang pala before coming back to school.. yuck, ill have to see those people again.. ewww ewww.... steer clear of the epal people coming your way, ayt? lolz... they just might give you diseases or whatnots.
But a good thing to going back to school is getting a new wardrobe na! :) Which means more shopping!

i realized pala na okay maging business partner si pia! hehe :) we're gonna sell bags and shoes na starting next week so hopefully maging successful ung business namin na yun! :) kailangan ko rin kc ng extra cash for uh.. savings & investing purposes.. [o ha? investor narin ako!hehehe..wla lng! :D nagffeeling yuppie narin ako eh! hehehe]

what else has been happening to my life? hmm.... wala naman :) eto, sobrang shoeaholic parin me.. dami ko parin binibili na shoes na hindi ko dapat binibili :) wanna buy havaianas din kaso nga lng wla pa me money to do so! hehe :) will save up pa.. cguro after 3 mos before ako makabili nun! hehe :) owell.

aah! finally pala i got to watch meet the fockers nung holy week! hehe :) hindi na ako loser! hehe :) will try to drop by quiapo para bumili ulit me ng DVDs! hehe. :) cguro pag natapos ko na ung super dami ko pang panoorin na movies sa house! :D and if may money na me.

kainis noh? hehe.. kailangan lagi ng money :) when you have it, ayaw mo gastusin, when you don't have it, parang lagi mo gusto gumastos... aah.. the ironies in life! hehehe :)

travel plans!

I'm researching about castles today. Most of these castles could be found, where else? But in gorgeous, gorgeous Europe! It made me rethink about what I want to do in the future. And since I just recently found out that I am extremely unhappy with my career and work path right now, I'd better keep myself adrift first with happy thoughts.. with some of my hopes and dreams.

Alright, I do have to admit that I have really big dreams and goals for the future. But hey, dreams are there to be made into a reality.. and so, a breakdown of some of the places that I want to explore to in the future...

Asia:

The Philippines --> where I'm from. haha. Anyway, I wanna go back to Bohol & Cebu and explore some of the gorgeous beaches there.. I also want to go to Boracay, for more fun in the sun! Siargao, I dunno why. I just heard that it was great there. Puerto Galera--> okay, I'm a LOSER with a capital L. I haven't been there yet. Subic --> I haven't been there in ages!!! Baguio--> The last time I was there, I was 7 years old... that was 13 years ago!! So of course I wanna see the changes from there!!

Thailand --> Bangkok in particular. I like capital cities.. hehe. It's a great place to go shopping! :D I also want to go to Phuket Island. If they ever restore that place. I also want to go to the ruins of the uh.. buildings there.. I dunno how to describe them... They're the places from Tomb Raider! haha...

Hong Kong, China --> need I say more? I wanna go back to explore, shop, and well, relive my memories when I went ther when I was younger

Singapore --> gorgeous city!!! As I said from my Hong Kong entry.. Same with Singapore. :D

Malaysia --> I heard there were also gorgeous places there. hehe. :D

South Korea --> wla lng! :D

Japan --> for the electronics! hehe. And to practice the Japanese that I learned in high school! [As if that would help!]

Taiwan --> seems like a cool place to go to.. Must learn how to speak in Chinese [Mandarin, to be more specific].

Russia --> to feel how cold it is there? And well, I wanna see the castle-like thing there. I think it's in Moscow.

China --> To see the Great Wall, of course!

Africa --> I wanna go on a safari! 'nuff said!

America --> As much as possible, I wanna explore all 50 states of it!

Canada --> Nothing much to see, but I'm still curious about it!

South America:

Mexico --> Especially Cancun! For a feeling of the nightlife, and also be wild for once! hehe!

Portugal

Havana, Cuba --> I was intrigued by the movie, "Dirty Dancing"

The Bahamas!! [is this in south america?? hmmmm......]

Europe: -->My dream continent!!!

Ireland --> ever since i was like, 10 or something, I wanna go to this country! I'll explore each and every town of it, if I can! hehe.

The United Kingdom --> I'll go to EVERY country there: England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland [if Northern Ireland is considered as a country as well]. I'll go to all the tourist destinations, and even to the tiniest towns that they have there! Oh! I'll also visit castles there.. wherever they are. Another thing that intrigued me is Cornwall. I dunno if that's a State in England or something, Basta, It could be found in the southern tip of the UK. :D

France --> Of course, the city of love! hehe... It's sooo romantic there! Might as well learn French. I think it's sooo cute!

Germany --> Berlin Wall, Oktoberfest, what more can I say???

Italy --> Bella Italia!! Shopping and well, religious stuff.

Vatican --> The smallest state in the entire world!!

Holland --> for the tulips, I dunno.. hehe.

Greece --> where Greek mythology came from!

Other Places :

Australia --> Down under!! I wanna rough it and try to live in the Outback! Oh yeah! I also wanna go see the Marianas Trench!

New Zealand --> Wanna live with the cows! LOL! And to seee Toni!!

Jerusalem and the Holy Land --> to see where my faith originated.. hehe :D It would be a nice religious experience! :D

I so wanna travel.. but I don't have a travelling partner! hehe.. Anyone interested? ;D

Oh darn, I also don't have money... hehe..
Care to contribute for me to fulfill some of my dreams, anyone? :D

I'll update this list when I thin kof other places that I wanna go to! :D

As I said earlier on in my blog, these are the photos Jo sent me in my email regarding the animals that turned up during the tsunami.. Here are my insights:

what the heck is this?? It looks like a land-animal turned into a water-creature. It looks like it might have been alive even during the prehistoric era. Come to think of it, maybe it might have lived with the dinos or the mammoths! [haha, i am formulating anothero ne of my stupid theories again]

Since I'm doing nothing again today, I'll probably research on this.... this.... THING... whatever this is! hahaha...

earthquake madness

okay... there was an earthquake daw.. and apparently a LOT of people felt it.. how come i didn't?? i felt a bit dizzy but i didn't feel the earth move..
hmm.. am i that insensitive??? haha... or was i that indifferent to what was happening around me?

After the tsunami slash earthquake incident in Indonesia, i'll bet a lot of people are actually getting paranoid when it comes to national phenomenons such as these... hmmm.... I guess you can't help it though. The tsunami that happened was the worst tragedy that ever was in recent history. And well, there are more than 200,000 people killed by that. The tsunami from Indonesia even reached my dream island, Seychelles, and killed some people there as well.
Thank goodness it hadn't reached the Philippines. We don't need any more disasters in this country. Living here is a disaster in itself.

okay.. my third blog today.
Just ate lunch in food choices in g4.. after that, we went to powerbooks/tower records. As usual, i was itching to buy a new book. but good thing i don't have any money with me so there was no temptation!

Anyway, just a random thought... since i sell stuff and all... my thought is related to business matters, and is.. well, quite weird...
Since i sell some stuff in Girltalk [its a board/forum site], I've realized that some people are extremely stingy when it comes to purchasing a hell of a lot of items from that board. I mean, come on! You can buy a hell of a lot of stuff in Mango, and some other stores and not even complain about the extremely high cost of the products there. Whereas some of the stuff i even sell are extremely cheap already!! Hmm... makes me want to raise my prices up a bit.. I'm sorry if this bothers some readers, but hey.. what i'm saying is actually just an opinion.. and everyone's entitled to his/her own opinion.

Oh well, life.. I do have to admit that I am pretty stingy as well, but hey, i don't stinge too much on certain things that I know is already cheap... Oh Well....

Well technically, they're not princesses but hey, they live the life of one! they lived in the Waldolf-Astoria, and are socialites that travel the world, party, shop & live THE GOOD life.. I actually read Paris Hilton's book, Confessions of an Heiress. Not bad though. it's quite nice and inspiring for me [though some people think that it was actually a shallow book --> which i don't care! i never was one who actually conforms to what people think and stuff]

Darn! i lost the link i have of prince william!! will blog once again when i do find it! :)
